HOTEL HAYDEN NEW YORK, New York – A Smart Stay in the City

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were small and lacked sufficient amenities like towels and soaps, but the rooftop New Year's Eve party was a unique experience. The hotel needs updates on heating and bathroom facilities, although the location was surprisingly quiet for being in central Chelsea.

The hotel has rooms that are very well appointed and clean with very comfortable bedding, but unfortunately, the air conditioning in my room did not work at all. The staff are a mix; some were really friendly and helpful, while others seemed distracted and disinterested in helping guests. The location is perfect for exploring NYC, especially for walking to Times Square, Little Italy, and Chinatown. The dining options were too basic with too many sweet choices and limited savory options. Overall, the hotel offers a great location and comfortable rooms but could improve on service and dining variety.

My stay at the hotel was pretty good overall. The rooms were a decent size for New York and kept clean, although there was an additional daily surcharge that added to the overall price during the busy summer season. The service was friendly and accommodating for the most part, but there were a few hiccups. The location was fantastic, near many main attractions and with easy access to transportation. The dining options were a bit limited and lacked variety, but I wasn't expecting much from the hotel restaurant with so many other great food choices in the city.

The hotel is in a very central area on 28th street but a bit of a downside being just beyond the cusp of tourist-chaos in NYC, tucked onto a quiet floral district side street. The rooms, especially those toward the street, were too small, even for NYC standards, and a little dirty with scuff marks on the walls. However, the service was incredibly inviting and very witty. The location is within walking distance of the Empire State Building and other places you may want to visit, making it very convenient. The dining experience was surprisingly good, near several eateries, offering a tasty and excellent Greek dinner. The facilities were adequate, but nothing exceptional in terms of amenities or offerings.
